Dear Friends and Members of the BACL,

Following our successes in the recent general and local elections earlier this year, we are building on our triumphs with a comprehensive range of projects and ideas which we will be working on the coming months to strengthen our organisation and deliver upon our aims and values. These include:

• Parliamentary Internship programme (in conjunction with the National Hindu Student Forum).
• A series of high profile dinners at a prestigious location to celebrate the election of our PPC Champions - now MPs!
• FutureGov - a project to nurture and foster talent from within the British Asian community at the local government level.
• 1000 Club - creation of a prestigious networking club for specially selected members to promote discussion and policy development, together with the chance to meet senior Members of Parliament to discuss and learn about issues’ by special invitation only.
• Party Conference - BACL will be hosting a stand at the National Party Conference in Birmingham (3rd-6th October) for a membership drive, as well as hosting a high profile dinner; tickets to be purchased in advance only.
• BACL East London - a branch of main BACL to promote membership and participation in this crucial part of the capital.
• Blog - the BACL blog will host regular updates on topical items that are of interest to the British Asian community.
